Ok i just sold my MTB which means i sold my spds too.

I need something for my road bike tho. Right now im using shimano 600 rat traps. I want either Look or speedplay.. i will be getting new shoes. i dont wanna spend a million bux on the pedals. should i get look or speedplay.. if i get look should i get the real or the fake EXUS imitations. Or should i stick with SPD and just get a higher level pair

Speedplay. Even the cheap Speedplays are good.

I went with Look. I like the larger platform and the float with the red cleats is fine for me. Their least expensive pedals are a little cheaper than Speedplay. It is also Look's lightest pedal. It was a hard choice between the two for me. The Speedplays are a good choice as well. They are lighter and are more adjustable than Look, but the platform put me over the top for Look.

I like Look. I like Speedplay, too, but the idea of spending $60 on replacement cleats doesn't appeal to me, and I find the unlimited float disconcerting. You will have to replace your cleats at some point -- much sooner with Look, of course, but they cost $12.

Anything but SPDs. I like Speedplay myself.
