I hang my bikes up during the winter but they are a pain to get down when I want to bike. Any suggestions? I need easy access.

where are you storing them? there are several different options out there from racks you can mount to the wall, racks that don't need mounting (for us apartment dwellers) and racks like what you see at stores that go in your garage.

Get rid of your couch and park them in the living room.

I use this - takes two minutes to put a bike up, or take it down ..........

Dude, you take the front wheels off them when you hang them? I'm trying to think of a good reason for that but am only coming up with anal retentive reasons, no logical ones. Why aren't you just parking them on the ground like normal people?

Primarily - because it gives me more headroom under the bikes. Thy tend to hang slightly nose down, if I take the wheels off, I get more headroom and thet are easier to lift up.

I don't keep 'em on the floor because at any one time i have between 11 and 20 bikes in my garage. The picture is of one side.

I just got what for me is my first "good" bike, a SPecialized Sequoia Pro. Is there any harm to the bike of I routinely store it from a hook in the garage, hanging it by one of its wheels?

Thanks

Nope the last place I had I hung the bikes on the wall no damage to the bike or rims.

The only way to properly store a bike is to completely disassemble it after every ride, wrap all the tubes in bubble wrap, stuff it in a box, and store it in a humidity nuetral local out of reach from nosy and prying trouble making hands. Or you can do what I do and stuff where there's room for it.
