I have spoken with several bike shops about getting a pro fit for my new road bike. One shop (# 1), that I have been to before and is very nice, offered to do it for free, putting my bike on a trainer. Another shop (#2) offered for $ 1.00 a minute, for about 30 - 45 minutes on a trainer. A third (# 3) shop proposed $ 45.00 fixed, putting me on a Serotta (I think?) fit machine.
My question is, will I benefit greatly from hopping on this fit machine, or is a trainer fit equally adequate. Additionally, shop # 2 I can ride to easily. Riding to the other two would be a little more difficult.
TIA,
Dax
