Hello to everyone in the biking world. As a new member I look forward to learning more about this great hobby and activity. I consider myself a novice even though I have been riding bikes most of my life. In recent years I have upgraded to better quality bikes beginning with a Trek Navigator 300. I will probably upgrade further by next summer. I also picked up an older Raleigh Pursuit (not a tandem) that is proving to be fun to ride. I must now learn how to get comfortable on a road bike.
In addition to biking, I enjoy hiking, kayaking, sailing, reading and amateur radio. My amateur call is my email header.
I am a retired engineer with experience in the defence (Navy equipment) and automotive (special machinery) industries.
I hope, in time, to be able to contribute in some way to this forum.
