I have a 1974 Schwinn Suburban. It is a 5 speed bike, but the thumb shifter is unusable. (I bought it used, and I suspect that it was used as a beach bike, in or around salt water and never cleaned. The frame is in good, unrusted condition, surprisingly.) Anyway, I would like to have this converted to a single speed, coaster brake bike. I am definitely not a bike mechanic. I live in the Raleigh, NC area. What should I expect to pay to have this bike converted? It looks great. It just doesn't work, right now. :D
