Just checking in here before I begin my journey through the site.
I'm in Bakersfield CA. Yep, 100+ degree weeks for our riding pleasure. My wife and I started up again, having both been riding on city trails for years and then taking time off to marry. Our bikes are definitely beginner rigs (mine's a $150 Motiv, hers even less of a name) but we'll be upgrading after moving. Cycling is better for my joints than running has been (fell through a roof in '04, not as glamorous as it sounds :eek: ) and as the weather cools I look forward to adding miles to every day. So yeah, it's a fitness thing.
I hope that's a good start. We look forward to getting to know the board and its members. Off to the FAQs :)
