Thought I'd let everyone know for their own safety/pocketbook.....While talking with a technical guy from Rockshox about the new Pilot xc front shock (came with my 2003 Tassajara) he let me know that the technical manual that Rockshox first sent out says that 50 psi is the maximum pressure for the fork.THIS IS INCORRECT !! The correct maximum pressure is 25 psi... evidently due to a typo or other problem, the incorrect value was put in the manual. Thought I'd let people know before you blow out the seals.....
Thanks for the info as I have ordered a Tassajara. How tall are you and what size do you have. I tried the 17.5 inch and felt rather stretched out on it, so now I am waiting for the 15.5 inch. Hope it will be ok. Thanks again.

DVD,
I am just shy of 6 feet even in height. I have the 17.5 inch model and it fits me fine. I tend to ride on paved paths as well as trails so having a little bigger frame suits me fine. In fact when riding on asphalt often, I sometimes wish I'd have gone up one size. But on the other hand you can "throw around" smaller frame sizes more when you're in the tight areas.
Thanks for the info. I am just about 5'7 so I think the 15.5 inch frame should be the one for me.
