I have a set in silver. They work nicely, and the workmanship on them is roughly equivalent to my old Shimano 105 single pivots. I'd say they are good brakes for the price.

I just sent back a set last Friday for a refund (love that Nashbar return policy!).
I used them when I built up my wife's Orbea; she's complained about them since day one. I added Kool Stop salmon pads but she said the brakes still felt too mushy. I just put on a new set of last year's Ultegras and she loves them.
BTW, Nashbar has those Ultegras on sale so that might be worth looking into. The only downside to them is the old-style brake shoes w/o angular adjustment for toe-in, but there are after-market ones available (like Kool Stop).

Even before re-checking this thread I just bought the older model Ultegras from Nashbar at their sale price. I figured an extra $20 or so for the real deal was worth it.

I'm looking at picking up a new set of brakes for my Schwinn, but need to double check the reach requirements on the 27" rims before I do. Friend just bought the Nashbar Jail's for his old roadie as well, so I'll have some more input from him in the near future (order placed yesterday). I like the idea of going with Shimano equipment, I've had enough of mushy brakes in my past, luckily no crashes due to it yet.

I think when I got the jailbrakes they were only 20$ on additional sale. For my beater, the extra 30$ for Ultegras wasn't appropriate, but for a regular bike, it probably is worth it to go with proven Ultregras.

Haven't used those... but I *have* used their deluxe canitlever brakes. Got a full set for the ridiculous price of $20, including replaceable cartridge pads. They're awesome, and they appeared to be rebranded Tektros.
