Hello all!!
I just picked up a new bicycle. Its been something I've been thinking about for a couple of years ever since my brother got into it. I also work with a couple of guys that have been pressuring me to get into riding. So I finally broke down and used some of the money I got from selling my Ducati to pick up on '05 Giant OCR-1 and some shoes, shorts, helmet, etc.

So I've never ridden with Shimano style clip-on pedals before. You know where this is headed right? Yep I roll up to busy light in Maple Grove, MN about 2 miles into my first ride. Step out of the pedals way before the light. Cool no problems. Continue to roll up to the light stop and crap...I'm on my back in the middle of the street with people laughing their butts off. Yep I accidentally clipped back in on the left pedal and fell over when I realized my foot was stuck. What a tool !!! Not much you can do so I stood up and took a bow, laughed, waved, and i'm sure my face was very red.
Oh well. Live and learn. Great bike for a rookie like myself, and I got a good deal which makes it even better. Shimano Ultegra components, carbon fiber fork and seat post, Xero rims, Shimano M505 pedals (Grrr!!).
I live in a NW suburb of Minneapolis called Maple Grove. Married with two young boys ages 1 and 3.
