Hi everybody,

I'm a relative newbie road biker in Minnesota. Bought a Trek Y-Foil for my first road bike after being out of the saddle for 30 years. (I'm 45)

Love it and am always looking for others in the area to ride with. We have some fantastic 40-80 day trips down around the Mississippi river, (hills, hills and did I mention hills?) or west a little in the flat lands.

Don't hesitate to e-mail if you are from the area or are going to be here. Lots of out of town folks come through our world famous Mayo Clinic.

Jeff

Welcome to the forums! :) My folks come from the St. Paul area, but I haven't been back to visit in a long time, partly for fear of the hordes of relatives!

Just got back from RAGBRAI, & I know something about those "hills" along the Mississippi. I thought the pre-ride info about hills in IOWA was just to cover all bases type of warning. All I remembered about IOWA was flat lands and corn when driving through to get to California. The hills of the Mississipi will make riding fun for you. You'll forget how much your rear end or shoulders hurt, when you're gasping for air.
