So I could only find a rear dura-ace hub in a 28 hole drilling. Now its time to pick a pattern. I would like to do something visually interesting as well as structurally sound, and was interested to see what other would suggest. Obviously half radial, 1X, and 2X are the majority of my options. Does anyone know any interesting variations and if so could they post a link. Thanks- happily upgrading from suzue to dura-ace

This is a track wheel? You want a strong one. Don't worry about "interesting." Go 3x and be done with it.

Track stuff is no place for the pose factor. The only time people can see that stuff is when the bike's not moving. When someone goes by you on a rental like you're standing still, that's the real chit. Go x3; you don't have many spokes anyway. It's 36h or nothing for me.

I vote for 3x, too.

The wheel is symmetrical, so there is no benefit to half radial. It'll just look weird and complicate the build.

1x or 2x isn't visually interesting - I've done both on road front wheels, and nobody ever notices unless I point it out.

Maybe use elliptical spokes like Sapim cx-Ray if you want something unique.
