Do you have a favorite place to ride?

I love the stuff in the Two Rivers (Wisconsin) area.

Point Beach State Forest has a trail through the forest which is perfect for hybrid biking! It's gravel, and has lots of little ridges and hills--it's the kind of trail that always feels like you're going down a small rollercoaster. To make it sweeter, it runs through the national forest: the first part runs by the campsites, where you can smell the campfires....the rest of it goes through deep pine woods. The only thing wrong with this trail is it's not long enough! And at the beginning of the trail is a beautiful parking lot along Lake Michigan including a picnic area, swimming beach, and concession stand.

From there, you can head into Two Rivers and catch the Mariner trail. It's a paved multi-use trail that runs about 8 miles from the Lighthouse Inn in Two Rivers to the marina in Manitowoc (just a block or two short of the Maritme Museum.) This trail is terrific because almost all of it runs right along the shore of Lake Michigan! Fantastic views, no roads to cross, and NO stop signs on the entire trail, except the one at the Inn where you probably start. Even bathroom facilities near both ends of the trail.

Where do you love to bike the most?

San Diego, CA:
Balboa Park to downtown, to Harbor Drive, to Point Loma lighthouse, to Old Town, to Hilcrest, and back to Balboa Park.

At this time of year, the mountains of the Gold Coast hinterland are very nice. Views that stretch for miles, the scent of wattle in the air, the spring wildflowers... I could go on and on and on. Suffice to say that I had a very pleasant ride today.

A1A and Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach. Dotted with bistros and cafe's and antique shops on a palm tree lined street to the west with the Atlantic to the east. A nice destination and turnaround point to meet other riders and sip on an espresso at an outdoor cafe on a Demember day. Sweet!!

Where I live. Whistler BC. It offers 90% of what most mtb riders want.

i was just up there two weeks ago. it was quite nice.

theres another park/forest up around there somewhere i rode through that same day, it was beautiful. i dunno the name of it, but i think its about 10 miles north of manitowoc.

good thing i kept the route map.

i think its actually called Neshota Park. somewhere around there. just beautiful. especially in the rain. the smell was so nice.

aside from that, i love riding in metro/downtown areas. sure, the roads aren't very smooth, and there's traffic, but that's what i like.

So far out of all the places I have ridden, Otter Creek on the Blue Ridge parkway rates the best.

Boulder City, NV is my current favorite out of the 2 places I have ridden. I am hoping to ride in Moab early next year.
