I'm looking for a nice low profile yet grippy tire, it will be on my fixie/CX bike, I tried a basic Kenda 700x38 and it didnt fit the frame. It is a road frame however I would like a slightly grippy tire. I'm guessing a low profiile 30 would fit, any recomendations would be awesome.

I use Speedmax 30's to race and road train. Work quite well. You might want to look at Vredestein Campo's if you want a high PSI tire too.

Specialized Cross-Baldy (700x32). Don't know if it's "low profile" but it has a low, grippy tread that's perfect for all around. I've had my front one on for nearly 5,000 miles, and I'm finally thinking it may be time to replace it (I ride 90% on pavement, 10% on dirt on my cyclocross). Replacing it with a cheaper Kenda tire with a similar tread as I have trouble paying over $30 for a bike tire. I might regret that desicion though.
