I bought a disc and Spinergy Tilium SS about a month ago and have ridden them a couple times each. The disc made a definate difference and the Spinergy doesn't hurt anything, it is a good feeling wheel. The disc was an older al./nomex(like the original Renn) that is about 1350 grams, so heavy but not soo much worse than a HED. The Spinergy Tilium I got for really cheap compared to what most Hed Jets go for(the most comparable wheel to the Spinergy) and I am pleasantly surprised, however I am hoping to get a matching rear(or PBO) sooner or later for some more race options.
