Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

the question I need a good vintage website for the repair / of old schwin 3 speeds from the 50's and 60' mainly to identify what some of this suff is.

I did get my buddy over who was involved in several messenger services in sf and he was going absoluty nuts over some of the stuff he found. but he hasnt the time to id everything.

And the rest of the story.
ok the other day I answered a ad in the paper for a bike and truing stand professional modle. well it was a park with the big freaking plate rotating head ect... the truing stand was old but solid cast alum fine for what I plan on using it for. and a small box full of bike tools all the basic stuff about 25 differnt cassette wrenches. crank pullers cone wrenches

that alone was worth 300.00 ( all i was really interested in)

well in addition to that

about 25 varous rear hubs some kickbacks more have the chain comming out the side some with red lines in them parts to fix them..

making a long story short mj little jeep was loaded to the gills .. lots of small parts a 38 X 20 cabinet with a bunch of small boxes in it full of small parts.

Post pics here if you can we can assist in ID'ing parts. Sounds
like quite a haul.
The best way to find out the worth of an item is to search completed
auctions on e-bay. May not actually be the worth of an item, but it is what
someone will pay for it.

I do know I have about 50 spoke wrenches ... wing nut style. ... they guy I bought them from said it was the only spoke wrench his father liked so he bought a bunch of them .. they are a cast metal .. mostlikely steel .. I might chuck one up and the drill press and see what I can do with it.
