There was a an interview on OLN last night. Basically, Liggett and Sherwen interviewing Lance a few days after the TdF. Excellent show BTW. Great questions from Phil and Paul (as you would expect). Liggett asked about "the look". Liggett explains what he saw and goes through the remarks he made while commentating...Lance to Jan "are you coming or not, and the answer is not!" Armstrong says that's just not the way it happened. He say he wasn't looking at Jan, he was looking back into the group to check the placement of his team mates just in case anything went wrong.
Phil made a remark something like; "now you've ruined it for me."

I think that interview took place before or during the Tour, because I saw that same explanation during one of this year's mountain stages.

That myth was actually busted in one of his books, can't remember which. Good interview though and the reiteration of his podium rant against the doping accusers was probably the best part.

Yeah, it was in one of his books. He's also talked about it in other interviews in recent years. They need to quit asking him about it, so the myth can live on in full strength.
