Recumbent - easy racer sport
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I have just purchased an Easy Racer Sport and would like to here from anyone who also has one or who wants to talk about it. I have owned a Vision R45, which I sold a couple of years ago when I hurt my back, and then had pain riding the Vision. So far no problems with my back on this bike. Wouldnt you know my first day out I saw another guy on a Tour easy? (never saw him before)
I like the Sport, even though it came with a broken derailuer, crossed up cables and imporperly adjusted front brake and no owners manual. The dealer is sending a manual and deraileur. In the meantime I put an old but expensive 7 speed deraileur on it (origional was 8 speed) You dont get all the gears but its good enough for now.
Congratulations on your new EZ Sport ! Deb and I just bought a pair of EZ Sport Limiteds and love them. We went the limited way because of the aluminum frame and the better groupo Easy Racer puts on them. The fact that we also got a deal that was impossible to pass, "had little to do with it" Ha-Ha !!
We took ours to an organized ride 2 days after we got them and rode the 35 mile part and felt like we should have done the Metric Century, next time we will.
These are not our only bents we also have a pair of EZ-3's that we use for around town and getting eats with.:D
I did a lot of research before buying either of these bikes. Doing that I learned there aren't many Easy Racer bikes for sale on the after market. I have decided it is because they are a well built bike.
Keep the rubber done and ride safe and often !!! Bob G.

I bought an easy sport ltd. in Feb. of this year. I'm closing in on 1,000 miles and have it well adjusted to my bod by now. I'm amazed at the comfort level availabel on this bike. It has allowed me to begin biking again after quitting 5 years ago due to pain/prostate aggravation from df bikes. I love it.

I've had an EZ Sport for about 1.5 years & have logged approx 6300 miles on it. It's a good reliable recumbent & fun to ride. The addition of the Zzipper fairing has helped speed it up on the flats & downhills and produces a lot of smiles & comments as I go rolling down the riverwalk here in Columbus, GA. Some lucky person will get a good deal at the end of the month when I put the EZ Sport up for sale because I'm upgrading to a Tour Easy.
