Recumbent - Pockets on trikes

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Had a question for the group. How do you carry your snacks, cell phones, etc. on the trikes. I am very new to trikes and the three back pockets just don't cut it. I am going to try a long ride this weekend and the best I can come up with is a tie on cloth nail bag from a local hardware store tied behind the seat. I want to be able to reach the stuff while riding . I have two bottle cages so I think I am ok there. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Tim

plenty of stuff available to carry gear on trikes, including full racks and panniers. check out the hostel shoppe.
Some people use a fanny bag. I just wear jeans and tops with pockets and a rear rack bag with pockets (more awkward but accessible) and hang my cell off my belt.

how about tying a back pack on to the back of your trike.....it's not rocket science.
I bought a fishing vest to wear while riding a trike. It has all kinds of pockets for storing things, and you can reach stuff while peddling.

A rear rack bag and a Norback frame pack on the boom from Fastback Designs. This little bag holds lots of stuff and you can reach right in for snacks, phone, etc. while seated.
