success story. i got my director thinking about bikes. she went down to a sports authority (cring) and checked out a couple. the sales guy sucked so she told the guy she was going to an LBS (good!) and so tonight she is going to get a new mountain bike.
her husband wants one too now! and they are getting a BMX for their daughter as well so they can all ride together. probably all from the same LBS - it's the one they went to as kids. a real neighborhood place.
So, i can say my incessant cycling talk around the office has indirectly resulted in a whole family getting new bikes and excited to ride them. the LBS owner should be pretty happy too. if only i could get a cut of the sales price... ;)
