OK, yesterday the thread i started was vague because I didn't know part names and I'm still just beginning to learn some things. Anyhoo, I am wondering if anyone knows if a granny chainring can be added to this crankset with ony adding a front derailleur and shifters? I like the crankset but climbing is a ***** for me (recovering smoker and newbie on the trails) so I want a lower gear for climbing steeps hills. can you just bolt another ring to the existing one or do i have ot bite it and buy a new crankset too?
