We're gonna go fishing, so we hook up the boat. Everything is latched down, and tightened.. Or so we thought. I'm driving, I go over the train tressel a little faster, but not more then 5 miles over my avaerage cross speed.. Since it's on a hill, it bounces.. Which played a big role in what happend.
So.. we go over.. BAM slam into the street.. I thought the rear differential had broken, or the axle had snapped. The boat came OFF the hitch! The saftey chains broke from the pressure of pulling, and the sfatey chain brackets had been sheered off during the pull.
So, I get out, and my dad gets out.. We're sitting there, in the middle of a busy intersection pulled to the side yeild.. scratching our heads. My dad goes to pick it up and burns his hand.. Tries a again and miscalculates into the back of the F150.. Dented tailgate, not a big deall. it happens.
We hook up, and try and get over to a residential area to look at it.. we say the hell with it, go back to the house.. I ghetto rig something up McGyver style and we go.. everything is damn dandy til we get ready to coem home.. Pitch black, and our boat lights aren't made to eluminate that much. So.. I swear we missed 2 trees by 3 inches, 4 stumps by centimeters and when we got there.. I let my dad drive up on the trailer.. while I'm backing up, and I can't see anything.. I miscalculate and I go off the boat ramp.. so I pull forward and the boat trailer grind for a sec then pops up.. people on the dock are laughing now.. then my dad misses.. hit the dock shaking it to hell.. then he backs into it bending our light beyond repair.. THEN he slams into the trailer.. so I get out and just latch to clip onto the eye on the boat front and just crank it up.. ... yeah.. that ends it.
My dad about to pick the boat to latch it again (http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/7793/****0010iq.jpg) The bracket that ripped off (http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/9889/****0034qg.jpg) The ripped hook that hooked to the truck bracket.. which remaind intact (http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/4179/****0027bw.jpg)
