General Cycling Discussion - Need a team name

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I just finished the MS150 tour in Salem, Oregon this weekend and was impressed by all the clever team names. Our team is the "Mountain Park Racquet Club Team".
Needless to say, this is not very "velo" ;)
Anybody got any good ideas for a team of 8 raggedy riders?

I ride with a group called Bovine Paceline. Spiffy black and white cow motif jerseys. I am very disappointed that I won't be able to do the local MS150 with them due to a prior commitment with my wife.
Here are some thoughts on team names

I agree. Why not "Raggedy Riders?"

I agree. Why not "Raggedy Riders?"
Clarification: This year it was 8 people, but the number of riders varies from year to year.
Your suggestions are great; keep 'em coming!

Or, to keep some continuity from the previous name, it could be "Raggedy Racquety Riders."

"Pedalphiles?"

My favorite team name was a team sponsored by a bio-engineering lab...the Rolling Clones.
I'm gonna vote for "Raggedy Riders." You could use Raggedy Ann or Andy for your mascot.

How about , " LIFECYCLE"
I once saw a bumbersticker that said "INCREASE YOUR LIFE,CYCLE" - Thought it was pretty cool.
If I were 16 again, I would name my punk band "Collateral Damage".
Wouldn't that work for a bike team?
Cheers,
Jamie
i don't know how politically correct it should be but what about balls and bikes. hence the raquet ball and the bike racing.

How about "Team." And your jerseys could be white with a UPC bar code on them...

People have asked me about our mirrors. They are made by a bike shop in Sacramento, told just down the street from the State Capitol Bldg.. We order them by mail..
Anyway, they are rectangular in shape, so they give you a fuller view. So on the outside they have a 'pink dog.' I just recently learned the relevance..
The manufacturer has a thing for the Sputnik dogs that went into space in the late 60's. I have never seen a pink dog.! We used to speculate, maybe because they were Communist dogs??? The reason they are pink-- I just learned- because the dogs burned up on re-entry. Many in our group use the 'pink dog mirrors.' Maybe black over pink, would be more factual !
So we could call ourselves the "Pink Dog Club." They are great mirrors. If you do not pass through Sacramento to purchase one, the "Take A Look," mirrors are now constructed the same, but without the 'pink dog,' on the outside of the mirror..
Once we connected with a group of cyclists near Borrego Springs at a restaurant. They asked if we were from Sacramento; forgot the pink dogs on our mirrors. They were from Sacramento but were not wearing the pink dog mirrors..
