I'm getting back into riding after about 10 years (to start a career and family) and am looking for a new good road bike.

Any good ideas?

Basically I've been looking at Trek, Specialized and Giant bikes with Ultegra components. I've found that the bikes that I'm interested in have retail list prices around $1,800 to $2,000 before getting into carbon frames.

I also posted in "Road Cycling" a question about whether its worth paying up for carbon fiber frames.
