I can't stand the Sugino 75 logo on my cranks. Is there a magical potion I can use to remove it?
I've heard oven cleaner works well.
P.S. Thought that might mess with the satin finish.

i think applying booze liberally to the mouth/neck/chest area should be sufficient. might i suggest lime hanger one vodka? yes, have some.

try some 0000 steel wool and follow it up with a bit of metal polish.

I've heard that applying a skin-splash of gin makes an excellent mosquito repellant.
shoes and straps rub off some labels eventually.

I removed some logos from my stem, seatpost, and hub this weekend with some engine cleaner and and one of those dish scrubber things. It worked alright.

My work here is done.
metal polish, but you'll have to do the entire crank because as soon as you take the logo off you start taking off the surface finish.

i used the brillo pad side of a normal sponge.
took them right off.
but did leave a subtle ghost of a matte decal on the polished crank.

Acetone!!!
paint thinner or xylene. brillo pads or scotch pads will most likely scuff the material, but a fine steel wool should also take it off without scratching.
The lye in oven cleaner will eat at the aluminum. It's good if you want to remove an anodized colour but overkill for stickers.

hey gil, it's the quanine in the tonic (as in gin and tonic) that repels mosquitos. just thought I'd let you know so you stop wasting saphire.

You could buy some that look just like it but are not Sugino's and then you'll be good.
I have a 4inch disc grinder, it's good for a lot of removal things.
A 4 pound sledge on a 4 foot switch, raise it back until it reaches your knees.
(I'll mail a prize to who ever gets that reference.)

What's so bad about the Sugino 75 decals. There are small and hardly noticeable as it is.
I must be the only person that protects decals so I can get top dollar for my used track goods.
its a shame that the crank logo isn't the same logo that is on the sticker that comes with the cranks, the sticker logo is way better.

My Sugino RT 165's label came off with a dinner knife.
