Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - SF Hellyer Saturday (8/6)?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Anyone interested in going down to Hellyer tomorrow? I totally got excited about going, and then found out that my ride can't come, and stupid Caltrain won't get me there until a hour too late.
No bike, just pedals, shoes, and my sparkling personality.
Also, I am skinny, and therefore slow, so you can probably beat at least me.

Caltrain doesn't go down to the Capitol station on weekeneds, only to the central San Jose station and then a free shuttle to that station before Capitol that has the funny name I can't remember.
I don't know how a person is supposed to get to Hellyer on a practical basis without a car unless they live near there.
If anyone's worked out a way to get there using the train or just a neat route to ride there, I'm sure many would like to know.
There's no way to get to Hellyer for Saturday morning practice without a car. :(
^^^That's what I figured. Hence the begging for someone with a car to take me along...

Santa Clara Valley Transit has a 7:25 bus from Fremont Bart to Diridon Station (SJ). It gets to Diridon at about 8:00.
Check my times.
All SCVTA buses allow bikes.
Hellyer is a nice 30 minute warmup from Diridon.

I'm not sure whether to be happy you let me know, or sad that that means I'd have to leave my house around 6:15, for the 8:30 Saturday start...
Well, at least it can be done, right?
P.S. If anyone actually is driving, uh, I'll pay your gas or whatever it is people pay for when they bum rides. (Beer? Pie?)

Oops, BART to SCVT, gotcha. Gotta be AT civic center BART no later than 6:20 though. Coupled with 30 minute ride from diridon, that's a pretty rough commute to come before a half-day of flogging around the track. Basically, 2 hours of public trans, then 30 minutes of riding, followed by 3 hours of intense training. Hope you get lots of sleep and eat a good breakfast.
SF to SJ is a fun ride though, if anyone is interested in riding it, I do it every thursday at 5am.

Someone needs to build a track in The City.
Take a quiet corner of GGP and just do it.
Hey, not to make fun of your name, but it reminds me of the N-Judah streetcar line.
