View Full Version : Basso '90% likely' to race San Francisco!

That would be great for him to race there. All you Californians are so lucky to have that great race near you.
If he keeps his current form, there is nobody who can challenge him for the win.

That's awesome. Ivan is a classy rider. Tough as nails. No quit. And on and on.
Just his comeback to dominate the last week of the Giro this year was impressive, when he easily could have abandoned due to illness.
Any chance he'll make it to the Elgin Cycling Classic crit this weekend here in Illinois? Ha!!

Haha, no, he's too busy winning every single stage in the Tour of Denmark.

the race is on Sunday 9/4 right?
It'd be pretty sweet to go to...can you get autographs and meet the riders before it starts?
thats really cool.
2 years ago vino and simoni were there. i dont think either finished. and last year there was Tafi and Magnus or some people. i dont think any of these big name euro riders even finish the race.
so that would be soo cool for Basso to actually finish.

You know you're a little gay for him too. Actually, i just have an infatuation with Italy (will be studying abroad there in 1 year, taking 3rd semester of Italian class soon) and Basso is my man. I actually even checked out plane tickets to SF for the weekend, and if they weren't $250 i'd definitely go get my boy's autograph.
Mostly i wish i were Italian and i wish i could ride as well as ol' Mr. Basso.
I'm Italian.
In your face.
My parents are letting me use their timeshare up at Fisherman's wharf. I'll be there all weekend, and possible racing myself in the Giro on Monday. Bike Racing weekend!! :D
