Hi all,

I'll be exchanging the drive-train on my training bike and I'd like to know what do you guys think is a reasonable price to pay @ a LBS for changing crankset, BB, chain, front and rear der. and cassette (incl. all the adjustments to make ready to go)... I'll be supplying my own parts... BTW, I'm changing from tripple Tiagra to double Ultegra and keeping Tiagra brakes and shifters (at least until the end of this year)...

I have been quoted $150 (but that included changing shifters and brakes too)... Is it OK price to pay in NYC, or is it grossly overstated???

Also, if any of you New Yorkers are reading this, what decent LBS would you recommend in Manhattan to do it... TIA, Rich

Give these guys call
Frank's Bike Shop
553 Grand St
212 533 6332
If $150 is removing, replacing and readjusting the parts it doesnt sound that bad.
(I think you can do better)
