That is correct. 800x600 is more or less standard now a days but even that is a little low :)..
What do you mean a little low? 800 x 600 :eek: holy crap! what monitor do you have dude?! A monitor like a wall? :eek:

I actually run 1600x1400 on one and the other I run 1280 x 1024. I haven't run anything less than that since I was a kid.
I have a 19" and a small 15" laptop. I run high resolutions so I can fit more code on the screen.
Unless you have an old 12" monitor, 640x480 should only be used to debug hardware errors :)

...your joking right. That resolution has been around for ages...800x600 has been around as long as SVGA monitors (they don't even call them that anymore)...

No worries. Depends on the operating system and if your monitor and vid card can handle it.

THANK YOU DUDE VERY MUCH! I am now 1024x768 too, ive been using 640x480 for ages and i thought its the highest possible.
