two of my friends have them. complete garbage. they slip when tightened properly, but if you over tighten it, it will break.
Hmmm. Should I get an opinion before I buy something? Nah, I'll wait until after I've paid for it, then ask. That's how people get stuck with Hyundai's, ok?

I can tell just by looking at it it would be that good. Just look at it. The front plate on it is two little clamp machanisms, thats not gonna hold a set of handle bars inplace very well. Say you jump off of a 5 foot ramp, and land flat or on your front wheel. Now if you're like me, and are 6'2", and 186lbs the stem, is not gonna hold the handbars from slipping, on impact. Complete junk. Get an S&M redneck.

Well......, odyssey is the greatest company EVER so... Any way all you guys should calm down!!!!!! I've already read a bunch of reviews on it and they were all good. I was just checking you crazy ****ers.
YOU ARE ALL JEALOUS BECAUSE IIIIII AM GETTING THE BEST STEM EVER AND YOU ARN'T!!!!!
Why the **** would it slip, every review I read said it has the most clamping power of any other stem they know about, thats how it has enough power to crush the forks and bars.

As for odyssey beign the best company ever. no they're one of the best but not the best. And no im not jelous. I have no reason to be. i have a set of Odyssey Hazard Lite wheels. They're perfect. only problem i had was the spokes were loose i sent em to the LBS, the made is worse, now its warped. Right now its at another LBS the one that I bought my DK from and its being fixed. Also S&M redneck stem is 10x better

Chuck, I shouldn't need to explain to you how ridiculous it is to claim you know all about how a product performs by looking at it, but here I am, explaining to you how ridiculous it is to claim you know all about how a product performs by looking at it.
As for this other guy, whatever he's got my stuff's better. I know this. There's no need for me to get emotionally involved. Asking an opinion after the thing's already been purchased is a cry for approval, so fine...whatever. Good job. You made the right decision and I applaud you.

Its cause i have Phsycic abilities. Nah its cause, I've heard many bad things like its breaking after being over tightened, and just look at it. It doesn't look like its that strong or has the ability to hold the bars.

For one if you over tighten it it should break, becasue any retard that doesn't know how to follow instructions doesn't deserve to have the stem. And do you think that after 2 years of testing, if the stem didn't hold the bars in place, that Odyssey would have put it on the market???

If your spokes are loose you don't have to bring it to a bike shop. If you don't know how to simply tighten spokes on a wheel you don't deserve to have Odyssey hazard lite wheels, or any Odyssey part.

Any reasoning behind those strong words??? How many have you(or any one you know)broke when you followed the instructions??? Or are you jsut gonna through that out there???

Here's the thing, I do but I don't trust myself. When I pay $250 on a wheelset with my hard earned money(try bailing hay in 100 degree weather). I don't wanna **** up. On slip my rims ****ed.

First learn how to spell, and yes I'm just throw that out there.
i think the stem will be fine for you.
i have a primo stem and it is great, if you are thinking of swaping the oddesy for a different one.

And also, Im not the kind of person who tighten things snug. I like to crank th **** out of it and get it as tight as possible(unless im working on things like an aluminum motor or of that nature), I dont like things to slip.

Your telling me to work on my spelling when you can't even put together a proper sentence. "im just throw that out there" WOW...

Well then the first thing you should do is learn to do stuff right. I can't think of anything on a bike that you just crank the **** out of, but i guess if thats the way you like to run things, with your star bolt tightened so much that you can't turn your bars. I can't tell you differently.

I don't crank the **** ouy of everything. Only the handle bars, the pinch bolts to my crank arms, and the wheels(im not having on fall off on me).Anything with bearings is done right.

You don't have to be a "certified bicycle machanic" to properly work on your bike.
I'm glad you like my name, i like it to.

I actually do properly work on my bike. I just tighten the **** out of my crank arms and handle bars because if i don't they'll slip.

I own a calibrated torque wrench. I don't think I've ever broken a part.
Snazzy, pass me some popcorn, unless it's salted. Oh, down under "Root" has another meaning.

I just got it this morning. It was pretty confusing to put on at first, but after I put it on and off about 3 times I got it down(first I put the bars on backwards, then I forget my gyro plate, then last I forgot to tighten the compression bolt). Now I just realized that I put it on upside down, I guess it doesn't matter, except that the cool Odyssey symbol doesn't show.
After I put it on right, I rode it outside a bit(manuals, 180s, 360 tail tap), and it was working fine, no slipping creaking or anything. I was just about to go ride some street, bu then it started to rain!!!
I'll try and get some pics of it up within the next few days.

I AM 100% SORY FOR NOT BELEIVING YOU GUYS! I NEVER should have trusted the reviews I read about it in Ride BMX, or on-line. It slips every time you land a little hard or bail and have your bars hit the ground. It's the BIGGEST PIECE OF **** EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I rode it today for about 4 hours and it sliped about 5 times. Right when I got home I called Dans and told them to exchange the Odyssey POS for a S&M Redneck GFR Lite(a reliable stem).
Again, Sory for not beleiving you guys.
I still ahve to give props to Odyssey for they're inovation in stem design, but it should have been tested a bit more. Odyssey still makes the greatest forks and bars though(Odyssey Pro Dirt and the Odyssey Jim Cilencki(how do you spell his name???).
Return it and get a dictionary, or spell-check software.

Odyssey's CFN (ChockFullaNuts) is pretty bomber, cool idea too. Sometimes Odyssey screws up (dare I say 'Pit Bull'? I dare!) but usually they hit the mark pretty good.
CFN was some good coffee too, back in the days before Starbucks. My mum loved that stuff.
