Hi, I have been riding a Cannondale hardtail for the past 5 years and this year I think I am ready to go into FS , I have ridden a cannondale scapel and think it rides pretty good but I don't know if it is worth the money .... I am looking at the santa cruz blur and the rocky mountain element .. I would really like some input from anyone that can help decide what bike i should buy ... I ride cross country only , I race sport class with a local bike club 5 to 10 times a year , alot of climbs and fast smooth downhills , also i ride some rocky courses too and some tight single track.. any imput would be appreciated ....

I personally am currently desperately wanting the blur, it is just a fantastic bike in my opinion. I am saving up to get one as we speak. And it is exceptionaly light for a fs bike. That may make it a good idea for you since you ride XC a lot.

Thanks so far for the advice, I have never ridden a rocky mountain element but there are a few guys that I race with that have them, as for the santa cruz blur .... no one I know has one but there are really good reviews about them on mtb reveiws but then again there are good reviews about all the bikes I mentioned .. But thanks so far I really am thinking about a fs because my lower back gets sore with a long ride on my hardtail even with a Suspension seatpost. I am 31 so I am not getting younger and I really enjoy mountain biking ...
