Training & Nutrition - Training book recommendations

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I'd like to read some books about how to train for some racing and half and full-centuries. I'm looking for a week by week thing that goes into winter training too, if possible. Any good recommendations?
Bicycling Magazine usually published some decent books on the type of training you described. You can visit them at: www.bicycling.com (http://www.bicycling.com) . They'll probably have some articles as well as links to books they put out.
Flyefisher,
I picked up "Serious Cycling" by Edmund Burke (with
Chris Charmichael) and its really good.
Talks about EVERYTHING, nutrition, workouts, tactics
bike fit, injury prevention.
Highly recommend it. I'm not sure why I found it
at Half Price books (they had like 10 of em, all gone
now) but I'm glad I did. The other is Eddie B's book
(I think the name is Borciwiez or something like that)
which is highly recommended.
would that be Orvis or Loomis?

I'm actually a Sage guy - saltwater flyfishing. Given your choices though, Loomis makes a great fast rod.
