Hi All

Im happy to report that i've lost 25lbs since June 1. That makes it halfway to 200lbs by Oct8, the Seagull Century. I've been using Bikejournal.com to track my rides since June 1. One thing i like about it is that it automatically accumulates the time and mileage. With these numbers i've come up with some interesting personal stats.

Since June 1 I have ridden 1191 miles in 75.75 hrs for an average pace of 15.72 mph. Since June 1 I have lost 25 lbs or 87500 calories (lets assume its all fat, i am). Running the numbers, i get 1lbs of fat loss for every 47.64 miles ridden or 1155 calories per hour. The cal per hour seems higher than most models i've read on the internet, but i chalk that up to the way i train. Im trying to get back to racing next year so i'm doing alot more higher intensity riding that the average rider. It will be interesting to see the if the cal per hour number goes down as i get lighter and faster over the next two months.

Hows everyone else doing?
