Introductions - hey peops!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I paced a guy on the Gateway trail. He was a long distance, racer type, doing his training. I paced him for about 10 miles at an average of 20.5 mph. I was riding a 21 inch Stumpjumper frame with 2.5" wide tires. Not only do mountain bikes cover ground just as efficiently, but they're able to go on trails, making touring bikes seem obsolete.

One of my good friends told me that I probably sleep with my bike. I didn't know how he was trying to make me feel, but it didn't offend me. My bike definately stays in the house with me.

;) Sometimes when I am touring long distance with a group and I don't like the set up for keeping bikes safe, I put my bike in my tent....It's safe with me. I hope!
