Here is something that I discovered after a fit of frustration.

I have a Joggable CD player that has a cool remote, so the remote is plugged into the unit where the headphones would go and the headphones are then plugged into the remote. Anyway I have a Specialized Speedzone Pro which is wireless. I have a bike bag that is mounted right on the front of my handlebars and that is where I stashed the CD player. It was the first time that I used the CD player. I started on my usual route and noticed that I was going 57 mph. Then I noticed it went up to 90mph. I thought what in the hell? I got home and was cussing about my expensive computer going whack and I only had it since Christmas. I changed the battery, I messed with all of the functions and reprogrammed it.

The next time that I rode my bike I was getting everything together, water, ect. I had my headphones and cd player all ready to go. I had the remote in my hand ready to get on my bike and I pressed play on the remote and the computer went whacko again. As I was standing there cussing again, and I pressed stop on my remote and guess what, it was all back to normal. I ended up not using the damn headphones at all now because the cd player is useless without the convienence of the remote. The remote was causing interference with the wireless componets of the computer.

I wanted to post this as a warning as it took me 2 times to figure out the problem........:crash:

Uh Oh- Be carful, there are a lot of critters in this forum that think listening to headphones while riding is evil, I've been preached to several times, uh I mean, bad, no, you should'nt be listening to anything while you ride. I don't - nope - not me.

What type of remote is that for the headphones, I've never heard of that before. Cost? I don't use a computer so i would'nt have the same problem as you.

Here is the link for the product that is very similiar to mine, mine is a "Sport" version which says "Joggable" on the case. It really works. By the way, I found that if I use a fanny pack and keep the remote away from the handlebars, I can still use it. The remote has a little clip on the back where you can clip it to your clothes or whereever.

As for the non-headphone people, I don't mind, that is their opionon, I have debated on that subject here before. I noticed that most of the time I would rather hear the music than hear the 18 wheelers roaring by. Also I try to keep the volume at a level where I can still hear traffic. There is no drowing out those huge trucks!

I find the older I get the less I care about what others think. :D
