Triathlon - Yet another "help me choose a bike" question

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

So I have the opportunity to buy either a new 2004 QR Kilo or a 2005 Felt S32 for the exact same price. Given that both fit me pretty well stock, is there any reason to get one over the other, or should I just go with vanity and pick the one I think looks cooler? Normally the Kilo retails for an additional $200+ because of (from what I've read) more advanced frame features, but what I've read only compares the 2005 Kilo to the 2005 Felt.

I've got a Campy road bike, so compatibility between my current bike and either of these is moot.

Any help would be appreciated.

I would lean towards the one with the newest components. The same group gets updated every year so the '05 components should be a little better then the '04. But, it may not be much of a difference to sway the whole decision.

Not to be a know it all TriBob, but the 105 and Tiagra components on both are the exact same. I think the FSA crank on the S32 is a little better. Frankly, I think I would go with the Felt because they are a pretty "hot" bike right now whereas QR has a big following but they aren't quite "the bike" like Felt seems to be. This question is intrigueing, hell they're both even red.

Go with your gut.

Cool. If they are the same, go with what you like. I mentioned it because he was looking at different model years and components get upgraded. My '05 ultegra is much better then '00 ultegra.
