Well after some looking around and pricing, I think this combo unit would be exactly what I'm looking for. I looked at some of Polars combo units, but I figured that the cyclocomputer functions would be easier to read with Vetta's larger display and position in my handlebars and not on my wrist.
So does anyone have this unit or anyother Vetta products? How do they perform compared to other similair products?

I just purchased this unit.

Unfortunately, I don't have my bike yet, so I can't give a real review. i bought it for the same reasons you mentioned.

It detects my HR just fine sitting around the house, but that's about as far as I can go in testing without a bike.

This is my first HRM, so I don't know if it's standard in the industry, but my transmitter came with the battery already installed. A dead battery, that is.

Other than that, it seems to work great. For the price It should be really good.
