I think I have a saddle sore ,but I was curious on how to treat it without going to see the doc! I have a spot where my leg & butt cheek meet that is inflamed. It has been bothering me since spring and is a large bump that has developed into what looks like a boil 2 times this season. This darned thing will not go away! It is worse than an infected hair hurts to ride or sit on. Is there anyone out there with advice on how to make it go away? Thanks for your help

you need to use a good chamois cream (I use chamois butt'r) but if it's been that long you need to stop riding and go see the doc. No 2 cents about it.

My left leg is shorter then my right, enough so that I get pimple sized sores in the fold on the left side. I wash religiously, scrubbing that area I then apply antibiotic ointment to help kill any bacteria left. Some folks use antibiotic soap.
I also use chamois cream.
Its a chaffing issue for me, never get any rawness on my right side.

I cant believe how lucky i've been to not get one. But i will give the secret to healing up tender areas that are a little raw from chafing.
Vagisil. (get your significant other to get it for you if you have to)

Desitin (for diaper rash) also works wonders on saddle sores.

I have some DESITIN so I will give it a try! I have taken a couple of days off from riding that is helping also. Thanks
