I wanna get a single speed mountain bike but I don't know which one to get. I want one with front suspension Please help. John

I would say a pretty nice rig for your first singlespeed.

I ride a lot of fixed gear for street commuting, and am moving to a european mountain bike mecca- and am considering a mtn bike- what is the worst thing about a SS mtn bike?
If someone were to talk me out of SS- what would the argument be?

My quads and calves are so huge I can't fit into normal pants

pretty much the same pros and cons as a fixie.

Rumor has it that Kona will have two SS bikes for 2006. The trusted Unit (26" not much change from last year), and then a 29er version of the unit. Seen pictures of the 29er Unit frame, and it has the same adjustable dropouts as the unit.
As for Specialized, the Hardrock SS, they finally put horizontal drops on the frame for 05, and it looks like they kept that for 06. If I had just waited, got the 04 model, basically they put the conversion kit on for you. Personally didn't like the chainskip, and the geometry, too upright for my taste. I cannibalized it, to build up a Surly 1x1.
Go check MTBR's 29er forum, there a lot of comments on the Gary Fisher Rig.
