i am looking to buy a new bike, and have been looking at either a gt fueler or a haro bactrail series bike. which is better for dirt jumping or is there a better bike than either of these?

OK, scratch both the gt and haro ideas, iv been directed to look at hoffman bikes and was wondering if they are worthwhile bikes especially the rhythm il 1, or whould it be more worth it to step up and get the pl seried bike?

get the Hoffman bike.....OR....get a Haro F series...like an F3 or F4....nice bikes for not a whole lot

Haro F-Series aren't really dirt jumpers. They're much better for street. DK six pack all the way.

i have the hoffman rythm, its ****ing awesome, watch out for the back hubs though, mine was a little defective (its warrantied, don't worry)

i don't really get this dirt/street/flatland bike thing..what is the true difference between dirt and street and all that...i know gearing, tires, brakes, rims, sealed or unsealed bearing, etc., etc.,,,,,, but is the frame different??

Actually, it's all about steering geometry, top tube length, and chainstay length.

BBs are usually jacked way up high and seat tubes are real short on flatland frames, too. Down tubes either curved or gusseted for greater clearance on the front wheel and tolerances on my own frame are so small that any sprocket over like 32t will rub the frame and the rear brake won't clear. Very compact bikes.
