Forum Suggestions & User Assistance - Thread for the Physically active

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

We need a new thread that addresses those of us who don't care to fall under the "old fart" category but we aren't 16 either. It seems that the thread Road Racing is dominated by folks who feel that unless you can average 20 miles an hour Plus or...go for century rides every other week that you are worthless.
We need a thread for the person who is physically active, in good shape (not the over 50 thread or a newbie one), enjoys bike riding to be physically fit, (not the family ride or the commute).
This is the thread that would appeal to people that can easily do 20-30 mile rides and do so at a healthy, challenging and physically active pace. But we are not the roadies, the racers, the people that shave their legs, or the teenager that can't speak to girls.... I find this type of discourse is lacking with the categories you have? Can we establish one?

Anyone can start any thread anytime they want.
Do you mean sub-forum?
Just do your thread. Don't worry about what others are posting- just do your thing. There are a lot of people on the forums that meet your criteria that post regularly.

Oh I do.....just thought since we have so many forums as it is that one more would be nice!.....
So what is riding in VA like. Never been there but want to although will pick a month without the humidity or the winter!
I heard the winter here is mild. Ride in October or May, I guess?
VA riding is pretty good. You can ride on some pretty bike friendly streets- more bike friendly than I've encountered in Chicago.

Chicago?!?!?! I am not too sure I feel comfortable "driving a car" in Chicago let alone a bike. But I do remember lots of commuters in downtown!..I admire them.
In WA...I can ride very comfortable (almost too hot) from May to Sept....... The months on either side, April and Oct are so so months which means depending on the weather I ride either my hybrid or my racer...Then from Nov to Dec...a few times in my hybrid. Jan to Feb...almost zil...March a few times although the wind picks up...I ride in my hybrid again.
