Hey I'm seriously thinking about starting my own online BMX store, I got a business loan pending but I need to get a hold of some wholesalers...anyone know anything about that stuff?

Some wholesaler's are not to keen on "online buisnesses." I do not know why but that's the way it is. Also J&B and Hans Johnsen carry about the same thing's. Hawley is a good company as are Hans and J&B. Seattle bike supply has an enormous selection of stuff. Although getting big name products such as Hoffman, Redline, S&M etc. will cost you some bucks. You have to have individual accounts set up with them all. There really is not one wholesaler you can get everything from.

A online store is great to advertise your store front. Many consumers tend to stay away from sites that cannot offer a brick and morter store front.

many vendors require proof of a store front. They want pictures, lease agreements, proof of insurance. J&B Importers actually send a rep to your store to see if you are legitimate.

Having knowledge of bicycle repair is a must? Anyone can open a box and pull out a bike. But it takes skill to lace a wheel, or rebuild a coaster brake hub.

I have never seen a J&B rep. Actualy I have only met one rep since being opened. Most of the paper documentation is all that is needed.
