I just bought this bike and recieved it a few days ago. Great bike so far. I bought a CX because I basically wanted a road bike that could handle our pot hole'd asphalt streets and something I could go on dirt trails with the kids if I wanted to. Anyways, I am riding for fitness and not racing (yet). I basically will be on the roads 90% of the time and wanted to change to a smoother tire. What should I buy? I've seen some smoother and very durable (they say) touring tires that look okay. My other question is if I should change the size? The bike comes with 700 x 32c's. Should I get something skinnier too? I don't really know how it all works yet.

I recently purchased Continental Ultra 3000 28mm tires from Nashbar for about $12 each - Great Tires

I've also used Performance GT2 28mm tires; which are nice riding tires for $5.97 each

I settled on some Specialized 700x25c All Condition Pro tires.

So far so good.
