Commuting - No mercy

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I was riding up the old familiar hill at my old familiar pace when I saw an intruder pedaling up it ahead of me, a young lady on a mountain bike in first gear (like me.) Well, I was quite a bit faster, and as I passed her, she said, "It's not a race, you know!"
:(
Oh well, here's another opportunity to reflect on "what I should have said" for the next 15 minutes while riding home...
I never saw her again. Should I have slowed down to the point of falling over?
Sorry, sorry...
"old familiar hill...old familiar pace" 'nuff said.:D
this is one of those situations i either would have gotten really sarcastic or slowed down and rode right next to her and just started a conversation.
depends on the tone of her voice i suppose

Who cares? Some people just don't like others who are faster than they are. She should just get over it.
