I was out of town the last couple of weeks of the Tour and just watched my tape of Stage 19, the 50 km ITT. Am I just really, really cynical or has anyone else wondered about the strange coincidence of Rumsas' amazing ride and his wife's arrest with bag full of performance enhancing drugs a few days later. I have always had respect for the guy. I just always get disappointed at these things. It was kind of eerie to watch it with benefit of foreknowledge. I'm pretty sure it was Rumsas about whom Phil and Paul were saying no one would ever have thought he would be a tour condender. Just like when everyone refers to Virenque's several KOM jerseys.
