I'm new and have not been able to search the archives....but what is the board's attitude towards the TriCruiser from American Cruiser?

It seems much cheaper but also not for the hardcore crowd that wants or needs a Catrike.

My opinion, speaking strictly from looking at the pictures: tinkertoy. It looks like a relatively heavy or strong rider would destroy that in a hundred miles. Better the Catrike at double the price, but will last a zillion miles. BTW, I wouldn't call the Cat a hardcore machine. For hardcore, check out Windcheetah (http://www.windcheetah.co.uk/hypersport.htm) and Wizwheelz (http://wizwheelz.com/shop/acatalog/The_Edge.html).

My sister has a TriCruiser, it's not the greatest thing on wheels, but she prefers it as it is more upright than other trikes. She wanted to start riding again and we found her a TriCruiser. She has a real problem with stability on other kinds of bikes. :o)

Check out ActionBent's Tadpole trike. (http://www.actionbent.com/TWTRIKE.html) At only $1295 it's much cheaper than the Catrike offerings, but of surprisingly good quality. And, it looks really cool. Don't believe it's true? Well, Bentrideronline says so (http://www.bentrideronline.com/reviews/abtadpole/abtadpole.htm) too.
