been commuting fixed for a while now, switching between my soma rush and my centurion accordo converted fixie. started gearing up for the winter season and i was thinking it might be time to retire my centurion conversion for something more practical: a fixed gear mtb. i figure that a fixed mtb would be more versatile since i can run my 700c road wheels on good days, fat knobbies on snowy days, and 700c studs on ice days. sure, it wont look as slick but ittle save me some space and time when the weather changes. only problem is that im having a hard time tracking down a good mtb frame that has horizontal dropouts. im not looking to spend a whole lot of money but id like something quality. what are some older decent mtb frames that have horizontal dropouts? if i had the money, id go out and buy a crosscheck but i dont so its got to stay relatively cheap. i found some cheap cignal frames on ebay but they were too large for me... im looking for something in the 50-52cm frame range.
