I just realized that the Google toolbar now has a spell check feature, which checks any typed English on a certain page. This is sweet. All I have to do is type and press the button and voila my post is nice and spell checked.

I recommend if you want an online spell checker to download the Google toolbar. (no i'm not spam, just look at my posting...) Its free!

It will solve a lot of problems in this forum...

Sounds really cool, but where is it?

I should have latest Googlebar (it updates itself automatically) and I don't see an option for it?

there is an ABC with a green check. Just press it when your responding to a thread and it highlights the words that need fixing and you press on the words and they are fixed.

I don't see it....maybe there is a newer version? What is your version (Google->help->about googlebar)?

I am on 2.0.114.9

Check your options KT, the spell checker may be unchecked.

Nope...I checked that. I see no options that have anything to do with spell checking.

Just check Google site though....I think it doesn't/didn't autoupdate, so I must not be on newest version.

Yup....that was it. Problem solved.

It's not an auto-updating proggy like I thought it was. The latest version is: 3.0.125.1

Here's how I fix my spelling problems:

1. I'm unsure how to spell a certain word.
2. I'm too lazy to look it up.
3. I think of a different word that's easier to spell.
4. I amaze people with my limited vocabulary.

What really sucks is when there's a proper noun or something that you don't know how to spell. You actually have to look those up.

I know whatcha mean. I don't need a spell checker. I need a stupid checker.

Here's how I solve my spelling problems on here. I consider that fact that this is a freaking bike forum and not my Doctoral Dissertation and I type fast and furious so as not to waste too much of my life on my posts.

It will solve a lot of problems in this forum...Google can keep their spyware. I'll just use the nice extension for Firefox - SpellBound. For those who use IE there's IEspell
