A race around Lake Lugano, which passes back and forth between Italy and Switzerland several times.

Won by Garzelli, with Bernucci second, Cunego third - all within about five seconds or so.

They pass through a town originating 1300 years ago. Gotta' love Europe. :)

Nice win for Garzelli. Bernucci has had a great season so far, and Cunego seems to be rebounding from his illness well enough.

Garzelli has ridden well of late. Is he doing the Vuelta?

Cunego does seem to be one form, yes?

He is getting better by the day, and does look in control of himself. There are several more Italian races in the coming days.

With Simoni (probably) not riding the Vuelta due to "fatigue and stress" (poor Gibi  ), if Cunego rides it he could do well.
