Hey,

Have been lurking on the forums for awhile, did post a few messages in "Commuting". Got back into cycling this past Feb. Pushing the 32 #, hardtail around town as a commuter and..well as my only bike. ('91 Specialized Stumpjumper w/ Deore DX drivetrain, 1.5" slicks ).

Welcome to the Forums.

I suck! I haven't started commuting yet. I've been putting it off and off and off.

I guess I'm just waiting for cooler weather and a less crazy schedule.

I admire all those who commute. Hat's (or helmets) off to you!

howdy Mike!

'89 Specialized Stumpjumper was my first MTB - bought in '93 and i still got it! although it's now my 4th bike... got a hardtail and a fully and a road bike... and i'll be 32 in September...

Seattle's pretty cool for cycling and commuting. it's on my list of very few cities in the world where i could live.

Welcome Mike! We Washingtonians are riding fools ... there are enough of us on the forum now that I have been thinking about trying to organize a group ride on the East side, West side or somewhere in between.

Do it! Somewhere in between sounds good. Maybe somewhere around Cle Elum or the Ellensberg-Yakima area? I don't know east-slope rides.
