What i think (no pros and cons, just observations):
specialized enduro - pricier, FSR, geometry places seat/rider weight further forward than some others
giant vt - price makes it good value, pretty neutral on geometry, light front end, manitou components
trek liquid - pricier, no idea geometry or shock, bontrager components
kona dawg - entry point price ranges available, price makes good value, geo a little further back
Its not an all mountain bike but its a trail bike
giant trance 3 or 2 if you can find one under 2grand
4.2 inch travel
wanna be dw-link
fox float r rear shock
trance 2 reba fork
trance 3 duke fork
Iron Horse MKIII expert best spec and bang for buck at 1800$
5 inch travel
5th element rear shock
sram drive train
what was listed above.
btw whats the difference between trail and all mountain? I used to think it was the samething. If not then whats the difference between xc and trial? Thanks.

SC Heckler. The beauty is in its simplicity. Truly a do everything, go anywhere bike. I'm 265 and can't break it. It climbs better than my hard tail while having 5" up front and 6"+ in the back.

i would go with the enduro no doubt it is a solid bike, great company, and top of the line componentry. you should be able to cut a good deal for an 05 too.

what about rocky mountain slayer 50, is it any good?

Holy crap man keep it to one thread. Seriously its a decent bike. Good ole single pivot with traditional pivot placement. The frame is as solid as they come. The bike itself is amongst the best low travel fr frame available, if anything it is too expensive but beyond that, good bike.
